Country Sourdough
48-hour ferment, crackly crust, open crumb.
A neighborhood bakery on Alberta Street. Naturally leavened sourdough, butter-laminated pastries and coffee roasted three blocks away — made by hand, every single day.
Founded in 2016 by pastry chef Nora Ellis and roaster Ben Ochoa, Golden Crumb started as a Saturday market stall and grew into the corner everyone meets at.
Stone-milled heritage wheat from Camas Country Mill, Oregon.
Seasonal beans roasted weekly by our friends at Ridge Coffee.
The first loaves leave the oven before the city wakes up.
Day-old bread goes to the Alberta food pantry every evening.
Reserve your loaves and pastries the night before — or order coffee 10 minutes ahead and walk straight to the pickup shelf.
"The almond croissant ruined all other croissants for me. I order ahead every Saturday so I never miss a batch."
"Best flat white on Alberta, and the team knows my order before I reach the counter. My favorite place to work from."
"They baked the bread and pastries for our wedding brunch. Guests are still talking about the cardamom knots."
