About the book

Your air fryer can do far more than reheat fries. This practical cookbook shows you how to use it every day, for real meals, with results that are crisp, juicy and reliable.

First you get the basics that actually matter: when to preheat, why overcrowding ruins crispness, how much oil to use (usually just a teaspoon or two), when to shake or flip, and how to clean and care for your machine so it does not smoke and lasts for years. Clear tables cover Celsius and Fahrenheit conversions, how to adapt any oven recipe, safe internal temperatures for meat and fish, frozen foods and reheating times.

Then come 50 complete recipes, each with servings, prep time, air-frying time and temperature in both C and F: breakfasts like crispy potatoes and make-ahead egg cups, mains like crispy-skin chicken thighs, salt and pepper wings, honey mustard salmon and sesame tofu, ten vegetable sides, party snacks, and desserts from churro bites to molten chocolate cakes.

A seven-day starter plan helps you learn your own machine fast. Everyday ingredients, no special gadgets, no fuss.

Most disappointing air fryer meals come from the same handful of causes. Get these five habits right and you will skip almost all of them. 1. Preheat (most of the time) Preheating means running the empty air fryer at the cooking temperature for a few minutes before the food goes in. Some models have a preheat button; if yours does not, simply set the temperature and run it for 3 to 5 minutes . Why bother? Food that hits a hot basket starts browning immediately. Food that goes into a cold basket spends its first minutes warming up slowly, which can make breaded items soft and give meat a grey, steamed surface. Preheating matters most for: Breaded or battered foods (tenders, fish, mozzarella sticks) Steaks, chops and burgers where you want a browned crust Frozen fries and other frozen snacks Pastry, which needs a quick burst of heat to puff You can skip preheating for foods that cook gently or for a long time anyway, such as baked potatoes, eggs in their shells, or granola. The recipes tell you when it matters. 2. Do not overcrowd the basket This is the single biggest rule. Hot air needs space to travel around each piece of food. When the basket is packed, air cannot reach the surfaces, moisture gets trapped, and food steams instead of crisping. The result is pale, soggy fries and chicken that cooks unevenly.
